Finally Adeline had some peace and quiet away from distraction. It has been a wild ride these past few days and she wasn't at all excited about the homework that had piled up. She understood why everyone was so stressed about school work when they hadn't stayed on top of it, but she decided that she was going to finish as much as she could in the next two days. Adeline normally had excessive amounts of free time due to her meticulous upkeep on school work. Once classes finished, she would head to the library and finish that weeks homework in the matter of hours, and complete the process the next day until she had no work left to do. Addie was a good student, but she seemed to of fallen in with the wrong crowd, and she's been getting grief for it. Dating a Slytherin was harder than she thought, and she was clearly not prepared for the onslaught of bullying. Gryffindor's were sworn enemies of Slytherin's and to be found out dating one, was sort of against the unspoken house Code.
Pulling out her Ancient Runes book, Adeline opened to the chapter they were on and if she didn't complete her father's assignments she was going to be worse off than other students who had barely finished their homework. Tying her hair back, Addie was prepared to take this essay head on and complete it efficently with exceptional quality. Her father would ask of his daughter no less, and would expect no less, so she had to live up to his expectations. The Giovanni's were a strict family, and they strived for exceptional intelligence. They kept meticulous records for the three branches of their family, and kept their library under complete lock and key.
Scribbling feriously on her parchement, Adeline was determined to get this work done, and was very glad she found an empty classroom, needless to say it was cold, but she wanted to get as much school work done in the little time she had. Also it was a good hiding place from the bustle of students, and the noise of the common room. She wasn't distracted by the books in the library, or the conversations of students three rows over. Free of distraction was the best for her in a time of crunch.

Delilah had a busy Saturday ahead of her. She pulled out the moving photo of James Potter from under her pillowcase and gazed at it like she always did first thing in the morning. She liked to start and end her day with the face of the most beautiful man she had ever seen. James' little picture person didn't always like the attention. Today, however, he was snoozing peacefully within the frame. How he looked so peaceful when he slept. His glasses were a little crooked on his face, but Delilah didn't mind. She was glad that Sirius Black had given her the photo for a mere 2 galleons.
She flipped over the photo and checked out the schedule she had scribbled onto the back of it. It was a rough idea of where James was on Saturdays. The boy was completely unpredictable, though, and where he was always seemed to change. There were more scratched out items on the back than non-scratched out, which understandably frustrated Delilah. How was she to know where he was? She decided that at such an early hour, he would no doubt be feasting down at the Great Hall.
Delilah got out of bed and brushed her long, blonde hair out. She was beginning to hate her hair colour more and more every day. Apparently James had a thing for redheads. Her brushing became more violent until she tossed the brush into her trunk in a frustrated fashion. She would never be good enough for such an angel of a man! She then decided on a normal pair of jeans with a fitted and tight blouse. She undid some of the buttons on top in hopes that if she saw him that he would get a good view of her goods. It was the one thing that Lily didn't seem to have: a very noticeable bust. (In Delilah's opinion).
She practically hopped down to the Great Hall. She caught a glimpse of James Potter eating the moment she walked through the door which caused her to stop in her tracks. He was so beautiful. She just sat there and stared at him, but when his hazel eyes went to her, she ran out of the Great Hall as fast as she could, very closely resembling a madwoman. She kept running until she found a door slightly ajar and then pulled herself inside. Her breaths came quickly and deeply. She almost didn't recognize that there was someone else in the room with her. Delilah's eyes narrowed when she saw red hair.
"Oh, hell no," Delilah murmured to herself angrily. Out of all the room she had to go into, she had to go into the one with Lily Evans inside? She walked forward purposefully, but when she got closer she realized her mistake. "Oh, you're not Lily Evans," she stated with a sigh of relief. She plopped herself in an empty seat near the girl. "You wouldn't believe how that girl is everywhere,"
she complained as if the girl cared. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Saturday morning! So much to do! Who could even think of sleep when there was so much! He had cleaned out the mess his rooms had become last night and although he had the weekend off, he was going from classroom to classroom. (It was great timing, really, because it was weekend and they'd all be deserted anyway!) Iain didn't know when the school had last had a safety check, but he might as well get it done - he'd had so many accidents he knew what to look out for. Now if he could perhaps install some gravity pockets just outside the windows and armour the glass to keep it from breaking as easily.. Not paying attention to anyone, he strode into the classroom with long, quick steps, crossing it in no time at all (having long legs will do that), stepping on a chair, up on a desk, and on the windowsill without as much as slowing down, so he bumped against the glass. "Oops." He laughed quietly and unhooked the safety that allowed him to open the window, glanding over his shoulder to check he had closed the door or there would be a draught and that might make it slam shut.
Only then, he realised he wasn't alone in the room - two students were there. His brow furrowed a little. Why? Weren't they supposed to be outside or around friends or whatever. Oh well. None of his business. At least he had shut the door behind him, that was what mattered. "Don't mind me, just doing some check ups!" he said cheerfully before either of the girls had had a chance to speak and he opened the window, leaning out and glancing down. It was only the third floor, not that terribly high. Iain had certainly fallen from greater altitudes.

Empty classroom. Empty Classroom. EMPTY CLASSROOM!!! Integra was practically running down the halls trying to find a quiet place. Somewhere she could sit and just enjoy the fact that she was alone for five freakin seconds. She'd recently become the mother of a two year old and was swiftly realizing that alone time did not exist. Not even in the shower. Rolling her neck she smoothed her dress and placed her hand on the knob of the door just in time to hear voices. Lovely.... It was four flights of stairs up to the next room she assumed would be empty at this time. fuuuuckkkk She didn't want to deal with idiots today. But to her happy surprise Adeline Giovanni was there. Oh how lovely. Slinking quietly into the room she found a place in the back, not before shooting each and every one of them a warning and daring icy look of course. She'd only been back to school for a while now and she knew she needed to reinstate her previous sense of wickedness among her peers. Adeline Giovanni interested her for two reasons. First was the fact that her family had something to do with the Jamison case. Second was that she was dating Kaine Gates. And as most of everyone who was worth talking to knew, Kaine Gates was best friends with non other than Colle Jamison. Yes, Integra intended to keep a very keep eye on that little witch. A little chuckle escaped her as she slipped her glasses up her nose and she set in on her book on grave robbing in the 1800's. Tags: YOU GUYS!!! Outfit!! Click!!Muse: Crossroads by Avenged Sevenfold

There happened to be so much hustle and bustle in a few moments. The door opened and a blonde Ravenclaw girl entered with an agitated look upon her face. Trying to ignore the girl Adeline stayed low and continued to work on the homework her father had given her. Everyone would think that having a parent as a teacher would be a good thing and you could get away with a lot more, but not in this case. Roderick Giovanni was harder on his children than normal students. It was stressful to be related to a teacher, knowing that they were here within the same walls as you. Once the girl mentioned Lily Evans, Addie's head rose and shook her head. It was difficult to ignore a person sitting so near you.
Trying not to be rude Adeline finished the sentence in her fourth paragraph and turned to her. "We do live within a Wizarding School, it is quite possible. Granted apparation is forbidden." Careful with her ton, the red headed Gryffindor flipped through the pages in her Ancient Runes book, looking for more information on the Norse Alphabet, when the door burst open again, and a teacher, or professor, or, Adeline wasn't sure who he was, she only saw him a few times and knew he was an adult on campus. Shaking a little the Giovanni girl turned and looked down at her books again.
Iain was chipper and it bothered her, a little to much. "Why on earth are you staring out the window?" the pages in her book ruffled a little from the slight breeze, and with that Addie held onto one of the corners and dogeared it. "The window couldn't possibly be dangerous, it's only a window." Her tone had a little more attitude to it, all she wanted was to study by herself, where she wouldn't of been bothered, and here she sat staring at the front of the classroom, a Ravenclaw girl sitting next to her, and an adult standing on the windowsill. This reminded Adeline fondly of her brother, being snapped out of her focus as the door opened, and the pages in the book fluttered, she lost her spot, parchment scattered all over the place, as a result of the door being opened whilst the window, too, was open.
"Don't you lot have something better to do, than be indoors on a nice day like this?" Clenching her jaw, Adeline leaned back in her chair and looked at the floor where her essays had happened to land. Integra Echoes was the one that entered the room, and she knew that the Slytherin girl was close enough to Jamison to piss her off. She could feel a glare on the back of her head and wasn't at all comfortable with the way things were going. Perhaps she could go to her father's quarters and study in silence, but students were not particularly allowed to be in the Staff area of the school.
Sliding out of her seat, Adeline began to gather the mounds of parchment and tried to put them in proper order, which was proving far more difficult than it seemed. All the young girl wanted was to be left alone, and needless to say, all hope of being secluded were interrupted by three very different distractions and annoyances. One, Adeline was not one for gossip, she could care less where Lily Evans was, two, the gentleman who was perched on the windowsill reminded her of her brother in an odd sort of way and that made her mind wander to what Oliver was doing, and three, need she explain about the Echoes girl?

It wasn't long before the room with the two girls in it became crowded with two more visitors. One was the OK-looking Healer, Murray, and the other was a rather intimidating Slytherin girl. Delilah had never paid attention to the girl's name. She was a year older, anyways, so the girl (although recognizable), had no interest to Delilah. Within seconds, Murray was looking out a window.
"I don't think you understand. I get that you can see someone frequently, but with her, it's different,"
Delilah prattled on as if it were of the utmost importance. "She's literally everywhere." She leaned forward to the Gryffindor dramatically. "It's like she's obsessed with me." Delilah looked over to Murray, with whom the Gryffindor was now speaking with. She looked carefully at the window. "I disagree," she said in response, even though she wasn't a part of the conversation. "I'm sure if someone tried, they could easily remove that loose-looking safety lock and throw someone out the window." she paused, and then added, "Hypothetically speaking, of course." Delilah herself was not bothered by the Slytherin girl's presence. Integra's icy glare was lost on Delilah. She merely watched as the brunette strolled across the room (looking more like an adult than a student due to all her tattoos and skimpy clothing) and pull out a book. She then looked back at the Gryffindor and said, as if it was completely obvious, "I'd assume she's inside because she's trying to read. It is rather difficult to read outside when the sun glares off of pages and the like."[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Balancing on the windowsill precariously, Iain tested the window's hinges. Hm. A little unsteady, not to mention that the windows needed clearning - ew! Who was responsible for that? House Elves, Iain presumed, but apparently they were too busy to care for the windows. Couldn't they ask the Quidditch players to practice their aguamenti-skills on the windows? Then again.. asking Quidditch players was just asking for trouble - and broken glass. Adeline's questions caught him off guard a little. He hadn't expected any of the students to pay him any mind - then again, they were students. They never did what you predicted. "'course not," he quipped. "Not dangerous at all, until you're opening it and accidentally going down headfirst. Not too fun, I can assure you." Iain had once toppled out of a window because it hadn't been securely fastened. Granted, he had decided that sitting in the windowsill and leaning against the glass was a good idea - which it clearly wasn't. Good thing was that his trousers had gotten caught on the peg that was supposed to have fastened the window, so he's just torn his trousers and dangled upside down for a moment. It had been pretty embarrassing, though. He grinned at Delilah over his shoulder a little. She sounded like a sensible girl.. if a bit paranoid maybe. Who'd want to throw her out of a window? "Well.. I'm not going to make opening it impossible - that would be dreadful in the summer!" Scotland could be warmer than some people thought. "Just want to minimize the chance of accidents." So. Right. Gravity pocket - just a small one to catch stuff falling out, nothing major (he didn't want the birds getting stuck in it, after all). How did you do that again. Iain twirled his wand between his fingers for a moment as he tried to remember the right wand movements and the words.
Although he hadn't heard Integra come in, Iain felt the hair on the back of his neck stand on end as she glared at him, glanced over his shoulder and met her gaze for a moment before turning back to his window hinges. Iain didn't particularly like Integra. Not that he disliked her, he just thought she was damned creepy. That and he didn't like it that she'd become a mother. He couldn't imagine her as a mother, well, not a good mother, anyway. Not that he'd be better at raising children, but you know.. Iain shook the thoughts from his head and got his wand out of his back pocket to strengthen the hinges of the windows a little. It wasn't perfect, but it would have to do.
