Sirius sat in the Gryffindor common room. He stared out the window at the increasingly nice weather as he tapped his quill off the almost blank piece of parchment. How were they expected to do homework and study when the weather was getting so nice? That particular day was nicer than usual, and it killed him that he had procrastinated homework for so long that he couldn't allow himself the pleasure of going outside and spending time with some of the girls who chose to wear tank tops. With a sigh, Sirius dropped his quill and buried his face in his hands. Homework felt so soul-killing to him. He stared down at his parchment. He had the title and his name written on it - time for a well-deserved break?
He left all his belongings where he sat, stood up and stretched. All he really needed was either Lena or Remus. It would go so much quicker then. He figured if he took a stroll around the castle that it wouldn't be as bad of a temptation to not go back to his homework than if he ventured outside. Besides, unless both Lena and Remus were outside, there was always the chance it might run into one of them and then beg them to give him a hand. In the very least, he might run into James or Peter, and they could get up to something? Sirius shook his head. He couldn't let himself get distracted!
Regardless, Sirius soon found himself at the Astronomy tower. He stood in the corridor and found himself starting out at the lawns at everyone enjoying the unnatural warmth of the sun in April. Sure, there was still a cool chill in the air, but it was the excitement of the fact that summer was quickly approaching. There was only a couple of months until summer! Sirius figured he'd just be going back to the Potters'. It was probably going to be the last summer that they would be so inviting. Well, he was like a son to them. To be fair, he doubted that the Potters would even want James next summer! Sirius chuckled to himself at the mental image of James' parents locking the doors and staring at him through the window. To be fair, he didn't think the two of them were that bad.
The door to the Astronomy classroom was right there, but he didn't enter. At the moment, he didn't really have a reason to.

It was a quiet and nice day out, Havok couldn't help but imaine he was going to be spending it with Alice. Glad that they have come to a decision on the situation, Havok explained everything, she seemed hesitant at first, but pleased that he had the courage to tell her what he was working on, and how he happened to get sucked into it all. Also, it seemed that the two of them were going to find a plan to fix all of his foolish mistakes. Havok had a few papers to turn in at the Astronomy Tower, and he told Alice to meet him up there.
With little patience Havok took the stairs by twos, he wanted to make this quick, and he was half hoping she was already there. Coming to a landing he saw Sirius standing in the hallway staring at the door a landing up. Stopping a moment, he didn't really wish for Sirius to notice him, but he didn't really want to leave Alice waiting, that is if she was in the classroom already. Quietly, Havok continued up the stairs toward the classroom, holding onto his essay for Astronomy. It was his favorite subject and he wouldn't fail at it, even though the essay was extra credit.
"You're looking a little lost Sirius," Havok spoke before Sirius had time to turn around. The two of them didn't really have much bad blood going on, nor did they really know each other, granted they were both in the same house, in the same year, and took mostly the same classes, atleast those that were required. "Also, the door won't open if you stare at it long enough." His tone was not at all mocking, because Havok was smart enough to not mock a marauder, for fear of the end result.

As if on que, Alice swung open the door to the tower and blinked a little, shocked to see Sirius standing in the doorway when she thought she heard Havok's voice. Ah there he was behind the other boy. Alice had been here for a while just looking out into the humongous sky and wondering what it was like to be a cloud. Damp was what she had decided on. But then she heard footsteps and thought someone was going to come up. But she was still alone. And then she heard Havok's voice. A voice she was all too happy to hear at that moment. She was on a date with him. Like a real one. Sort of.. Well she thought it was at any rate. And she was very excited for this date for she'd been eyeing Havok for a long time. Though they were two years different she didn't mind. Alice never cared much for the kids her age and found that the other kids, James and his lot, were a lot more fun and nicer to hang around with. The other kids were more mean to Alice than anything for being such a soft sort of creature as she was as a child. Now they could all shove off for all she cared because she was a much more interesting and confident sort now and if they had any wrong ideas about her it was that she was a whimp. Not so much the case now a days. Smiling at Havok she stepped back from the door a little. "Why are... you both just standing in the hall?" She tried not to laugh but a tiny chuckle came out. Looking to Sirius she eyed him a little. Were was his brat pack? Or that nice girl he always ran around with? "Hiya Sirius, haven't seen you lot 'round the three broomsticks lately... been busy tormenting the bloke who runs the hog's head?" She laughed and left the door open for them as she went back up and looked out over the rolling country side. Outfit!!: Cuz Alice is adorable!

Post by Sascha Borchard on Mar 19, 2012 18:29:57 GMT 1
Sascha had been told off about smoking on the premises. That annoyed him to no end. At least the headmaster had not chastised him about it before any students, but apparently word had gotten out that he liked to smoke during his classes (nicotine in his system was the only way he could keep himself from kicking some of the wise-arse's behinds into the next world) and that was unacceptable. "We need to keep up a certain standard," Dumbledore had said. Well fuck standards. If Sascha wanted to smoke, he was damn well going to. He'd checked the classroom registers and knew the Astronomy tower ought to be free at this hour. He'd just sit up there, go through half a pack of cancersticks, enjoy the view and the aloneness with his own thoughts for a bit, and then go downstairs again, maybe even have some late dinner if he felt like it.
When he climbed up the stairs, Sascha swore he could hear voices up there. That was just brilliant (please read with a fair amount of sarcasm). He hated this school, students swarming all over the place all the time, never giving him a moment's peace. He contemplated just turning around and smoking in his quarters, but that would be backing down. Sascha did not back down. He doubled his speed and walked upstairs, only to walk into a group of three young adults. He knew Sirius, of course. Loudmouth who seemed to get away with everything - even in his classes, apparently, because the sodding pureblood brat was a natural in apparition. He knew Havok by face, but couldn't think of his name, only that he was in the same house as Black. Sascha had never seen Alice before, though, but he assumed she was a student, even though she wasn't wearing a uniform. He couldn't fathom why any non-student would want to be here. "Vhat are you doing here?" he asked pointedly, as though he wasn't coming up there for a smoke, but to check up on them. He might as well pretend he was, send them away, and then he'd have the tower to himself.

It was awfully quiet where Sirius was, so he was rather surprised to hear footsteps. He let his curiousity to get the better of him. It wasn't often that Sirius would be alone, hear footsteps and not at least look to see who was around. Besides, it was safer anyways. What kind of person who was alone didn't look to see who was approaching them? For all he knew, it could be Snivellus coming to attempt to hex him into oblivion. Merlin knew that Snape would attack him when Sirius' back was turned. Instead of Snape, a different black-haired boy stood there. He couldn't help but think about how many black-haired boys there seemed to be at Hogwarts.
"Not all who wander are looking to go somewhere... or not all who wander are lost... or whatever the saying is,"
[/b] he replied, jokingly trying to be deep. He never really made an effort to speak to Havok before, but then again, it seemed mutual. It wasn't often that Havok went out of his way to speak to Sirius, either. "What?" he said, confused for a moment. Then he realized Havok was talking about the Astronomy door. "No, I don't really have a reason to go in there. I was more looking at the girls in the spring dresses," he explained, nodding his head in the direction of the window. Within a moment, a door opened and a familiar-looking girl stood there, although Sirius was having difficulty putting a name to the face. She was good looking by every definition, and she ironically was wearing a little dress as well. Sirius began to do his usual charming grin on her, but by the way Havok was looking at her and the way her eyes were clearly searching for Havok, he knew that this wasn't a girl he should be making that face to. Instead, he turned his grin into an awkward sneeze. The moment the girl spoke, however, the name suddenly came rushing to him. Alice! Of course it was Alice. There seemed something a little different about her, though. Maybe it was because she was graduated and seemed more adult? Whatever the case, he felt stupid for not realizing who she was earlier. "Haven't really been in Hogsmeade really, to be honest, Alice," Sirius said, a bit meekly, but using her name to prove to even himself that he hadn't forgotten it. He was never really a guy for names. "Been having a bit of... a lot going on at Hogwarts. Been looking to go, though, if only my mates could stop getting themselves in trouble. How've you been? Getting up to no good, I hope?"[/b] Sirius decided to keep out that what was keeping him busy was girls. It seemed like every time he wanted to go to Hogsmeade, some girl issue or another came up. He mentally tormented himself. Since when was he no fun because of a girl? He made a note to stop doing that. He gave Remus hell all the time for abandoning him for Annelise, yet was Sirius becoming any better? Not a moment later were the three of them joined by Sascha Borchard. He was the Apparation professor, and although Sirius didn't really enjoy his classes, he had fun goofing off. Apparation had been easy for Sirius, so he had spent most of his classes Apparating around the room next to pretty girls. "Are we not allowed to be here?"[/b] Sirius asked, smoothly. He looked back at Havok and Alice, wondering if they liked Borchard by any chance. He didn't even know if Alice knew who the professor was, although for some reason he doubted it.
