Let me tell you, a little something about myself[/color]
Wayne and Nicole Zabini would find themselves rushing off to St. Mungo's not long after the Christmas holiday as their first child, later revealed to be a boy, seemed to be in quite the rush to get out of the womb and experience life for himself. After hours of labor, Nicole would give birth to Dorian Elijah Manuel Zabini, the first of two children the couple would have together. By midnight, the couple would have received a mass of congradulatory letters from all over the Pureblood community of London, and even visits from family that still remained in Italy. From birth, Dorian would receive alot of attention, spoiled with the finest gifts that money could buy for a young child and even mass amounts of attention from his father. Sometime next year, the couple would find themselves welcoming their second child into the world, this time a beautiful baby girl, making their family complete. Although young, Dorian was quickly taught what it meant to be the older sibling in his family. His father would tell him that it was his duty to protect his sister no matter the circumstances, and that when the parents weren't around it was his job to watch over her as they would. Once old enough, Wayne would take Dorian out with him to his first Quidditch match, showing his son the most popular sport in the Wizarding World, while at the same time, allowing him to meet the Malfoy's child Lucius. The two seemed to immediately share a bond, made over the quidditch match and their fascination at the sport.
At the age of seven, Dorian's latent magical ability would begin to surface at first in the form of him charming objects in the house to dance and chime, but later in the form of his bed shaking when he would have nightmares of the worst kind. There would come a time when Dorian would have to protect his sister. One morning in Diagon Alley, the two were left momentarily on the busy streets when the children came into contact with another pair of kids who were older and awaiting their parents as well. They quickly began to bully the younger kids, teasing Dorian and his sister. It was when they'd pulled out their wands to attack the young unarmed ids that Dorian's magic would kick in and save both he and his sister from harm. When his mother and father would find them, they were surrounded by a large crowd staring at the kids who lie on the ground seemingly frozen stiff, when in truth they'd been hit with a full body bind. Both parents were quite happy to find that their son did infact have magical ability and was not a squib because that would just be quite embarassing. Wayne was even more proud that Dorian had taken his words before to heart and that he did infact stand up for his sister when the time came.
At the age of 11, the post one morning would come much earlier than Dorian usually remembered. Collecting the mail from the family owl, Dorian would find that the first letter was addressed to him while the second identical letter was addressed to his younger sister who was on the verge of turning 11. Opening the letters in the company of their mother, Dorian and his sister would find out that they were accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. His mother would send an owl to their father informing him of their trip to Diagon Alley for him to meet them there if he were able, before they set off themselves. Upon their arrival in the busy alley, they would come across the Malfoy family, joining them in their shopping seeing as they were there for the same reason. Saving Ollivander's for last, Dorian's father would join them just in time for his son to be next in line for Mr. Ollivader to issue him his wand. Once they were finished with the shopping, Wayne would surprise his son and daughter with an owls that he'd bought for them while they were out shopping.
A few weeks would pass before the Zabini children would be off for the Hogwarts Express. Words couldnt explain just how excited Dorian and his siter were to be going to Hogwarts after having heard such great things about the place growing up. Once their luggage was packed, Dorian would find Lucius so that the two could sit together, which allowed him to sit with the Black children as well. Upon their arrival to the castle, Dorian found himself quite entranced with the look of the castle, nearly falling out of the enchanted boat into the black lake but thankfully he'd been caught by Lucius. When it came time for the first years to be sorted, Dorian went just before his sister. Thankfully they didn't call them in alphabetical order, otherwise Dorian and his sister wouldve been last if not hella close to it. When the sorting hat was placed upon his noggin, the two seemed to have a second long debate as the sorting hat waded through Dorian's head to properly place him. The end result ended up being Slytherin, though the hat mentioned that the boy wouldve done equally well in Ravenclaw. His sister would also join him in Slytherin house which he was thankful for, knowing that he would have a much better chance of keeping her protected if she were in the same house as him.
The first year of school was more than Dorian had hoped it'd be. There was so much that he didn't know about in the world, things he'd read about before in a few books here and there and had seen before, but had never done. From flying on broomsticks, levitating feathers, making potions and such. Watching the teams play Quidditch was something that had surely caught his eyes. His father had taken him to matches plenty of times with the Malfoys when he was younger, and he'd been in love with the sport ever since, so it gave him something to be ambitious about, already showing his determination to be on the house team. Though the rule stating that first years weren't allowed on house teams, let alone to own their own brooms kept him from trying out, thankfully they couldnt stop him from attending the try outs. While watching, Dorian would try and learn everything he could from just watching and listening to the feedback the captain would give the team members. As the first year came to a close... Dorian can't exactly remember who it was who won the house cup that year.
Over the summer, Dorian convinced his father to purchase him a broomstick so that he could practice for Quidditch season when the school term would resume. Wayne went out and bought him the best broomstick that money could at the time, supporting his son's ambitious dream to play Quidditch, he would even offer to aide him in his training. Come second term, Dorian would try out for the Quidditch team along with some others of his year. The training he and his father had undergone over the summer, had paid off a great deal when it came time for his turn to try out. His skills in the chaser position were great according to the captain of the team, good enough that Dorian was named one of the three chasers on the team repacing and older student who began to target Dorian as a result of him taking his spot on the team. There was one night where Dorian was dared to meet him out in the Forbidden Forest where they were to duel each other despite the curfew and the rules against being in the forbidden forest before certain ages.Though when Dorian arrived, it was revealed to be a trick to get Dorian caught out of bed by a Professor. After a traumatizing night in the forest due to a close encounter with an Acromantula, Dorian received a few detentions as a result of breaking the rules, though the plot to get him kicked off of the team failed as he remained the chaser.
In the passing years, Dorian remained hard at work in school, maintaining a healthy balance between his school work, Quidditch practice, and personal sleep time although some nights he found himself asleep in the library having to be woken up by the Librarian to go back to the Common Rooms before curfew. More than a few times, Dorian met up with the Charms Master of the school while heading back down to the dungeons, and would engage in conversation about the subject that he'd found to be very much interesting to him. Although insisting that he could talk for hours about things he'd read and questions he had for the Professor about such and such a topic, Dorian was shushed off to bed reassured that the conversation would resume another time. 5th year was quite stressful in all honesty. With the piling work that came with the end of the year O.W.L.s, there sometimes became mixes in his scheduel where he'd have to substitute a bit of sleep for another hour or two for homework and such or sacrifice a bit of time of Quidditch practice to go get some sleep before another class started. Dorian found himself all over the place but managed to make whatever it was he was doing work for him, and when O.W.L.s time came, he knew he would do fantastic. During the summer when he scores had come back, Dorian was highly excited to know that he had gotten all O's, except for in Charms and Transfiguration where he recieved E's.
Now a seventh year student in his final year of schooling, Dorian aims to finish the year with top grades in all his classes to secure his future in the work force no matter where he decides to go in order to persue his career. Still chaser on the Quidditch team, Dorian has also taken up some extra cirricular activities such as clubs within the school. Even outside of school, he's learned the art of Occlumency, as well as having become an Animagus.
