Marlene and Gideon had been best friends since the first time they'd met in their first year. Hestia, a fairly good friend of Damocles could see him toiling away day after day, missing lessons so that he could help his sister, yet while he was toiling away she could tell he was getting tired and fatigued and would only sleep when he absolutely had to, so she decided to take matters into her own hands. One evening, after much, much persuading, Hestia convinced Damocles to have a break and to go to Hogsmeade with her. The two got absolutely wasted and kissed. It didn't stop there.
The next day, Hestia woke in Damocles bed and as she was getting ready for the walk of shame, Damocles woke. Since then Damocles has had it in his mind that he and Hestia are a couple. Hestia, not having the courage nor the heart to tell him she just doesn't see him that way has begun to feel trapped and wondering if she will ever get out, especially since her 'relationship' with Damocles is doing him so good. He still works on a potion for his sister and other sufferers, but at the same time he's living, eating, sleeping and attending classes, all thanks to Hestia.
