The common room was absolutely alive with everything Sirius could think of. He had snuck out of Hogwarts the day before (claiming to be sick in order to get out of last class) so that he could go to Hogsmeade in order to get most of the things he hoped for. He decided to go with a "Amazon" theme, meaning that everyone had to dress up in Amazonian types of clothes - such as animal-skin loin clothes and bikinis and such. The whole common room was transformed while everyone was down in the Great Hall enjoying dinner. They had knicked food from the kitchens, and placed them throughout the common room. There were vines and trees, and not to mention many tropical birds. The birds had been a challenge for Sirius - they were probably the hardest thing to get. He had merely transfigured the tables into the trees, and transfigured the chairs into hammocks. He had invited everyone excluding Slytherins, all saying that it was a surprise birthday party, and letting them know what the theme was. Of course Sirius knew that Remus would be expecting it. Sirius tried to do something for Remus every year. Sirius had decided to dress in this before setting everything up in case someone came early. Yes, he was greatly exposed, but he doubted very much if anyone would expect anything less. The boys could always opt for something more modest, like something that hung off the shoulder, but that wasn't what Sirius was hoping for. He was hoping for a mass of mostly-naked and drunk people - what was better for a birthday party for one of his best mates? It was the perfect thing. Sirius even managed to create a little hot pond for people to sit in. It had been the hardest thing to create, due to the fact it had to go into the floor. He hoped he had done it correctly, for the last thing he needed was for the floor to collapse. He doubted it would happen, but was weary of it nonetheless. Sirius then created punch bowls in every available place in the common room, and didn't even bother with pretending anything but alcohol would be going into them. They were either filled with Firewhiskey or Butterbeer, and the select few punch bowls were mixed with both. He kept only one with punch in it for those who needed to sober up a little bit - although he was lying to himself if he believed that no one would eventually spike it. Sirius put his hands on his hips, feeling immensely proud of himself. He stood in the middle of what now looked like an Amaonian rainforest, and knew that this was the best party he had ever put together.

Outfit: clickTattoo: clickWord Count: 638 Today was Remus’ big day. It was his birthday today and all Gryffindor tower seemed excited, knowing a huge party would be occurring. Lena still could not believe what she was doing. The theme had a party, like so many parties seemed to have, and this time it was Amizonian. Which meant lots of skin and lots of animal print. She sighed and shook her head as she stared at herself in the mirror again. She had skipped dinner, debating back and forth on if she should even go but she’d finally decided she had to. It was her friend’s birthday and she couldn’t miss that. No matter how uncomfortable this would make her. The rest of the time of skipping dinner had been spent transfiguring an animal printed blanket into a bikini with a skirt. She wasn’t going to just walk around as if she was at a pool so the skirt had to be added. Lena put on the bikini and tied the straps tightly to make sure there was no chance of any wardrobe malfunction. The skirt slid on easily and she looked down her body, sighing.
Her tattoo was on full show today, because of the bikini. Her wizards ink tattoo was of a shooting start that started at the side of her belly button and shot across her skin to a spot on her side, and back and forth. She could hide it but decided it was too much trouble and just tapped it with her want instead so it froze, in mid motion of shooting, the ‘streams of light’ showing off its tail end. Even without it moving it would be sure to get noticed a lot tonight. It was unusual for girls in this day and age to have tattoos. But she’d gotten it not long ago and adored it. As Lena looked over herself in the mirror she started ratting out her hair by sliding her brush back and forth in it to make it have an Amazon woman frizzy-ness. The last final touches were her chocolate brown strappy sandals and her animal printed tooth necklace. Once she was fully dressed she went back to staring at herself in the mirror, wondering if she could really do this and go downstairs where her whole house and at least 2 other houses might see her.
Lena shivered slightly in worry and bit her lip, trying to force herself to be confident. Her body looked amazing, the dark skin of hers highlighting the leopard print bikini and skirt perfectly. She finally just shook her head and said, out-loud to make sure she did it, “Just get on with it.” Lena nodded her head to her reflection, turned around, and grabbed Remus’ present from her bed before heading down to the common room.
The first thing she noticed was it looked like a real rainforest. She blinked in amazement and stopped to enjoy the view. "Oh my," was all she could say. Sirius had out done himself for sure. And Lena knew it was him who had decorated. Which meant he wouldn’t be that far away. Her brown eyes started to look for him through the foliage to tell him he did an amazing job and to ask where to put the present but she kept getting distracted by how real the whole thing truly felt. For now, as no one had seen her yet, she was glad she had come down for the party. She wouldn’t have missed seeing all of this rainforest, fake or not, for anything.

James laughed as he looked at his reflection in the mirror, "leave it to Pads to find a way to get the girls half naked before a party." he muttered shaking his head. His costume, if you could call it that was just as skimpy as Sirius'. He had left the theme and decorating to Sirius, knowing that this was his time to shine. He concentrated on helping to gather the food and drinks for the occasion. He ran his hand through his hair then walked over to his bed and picked up his gift of two books for Remus. Curses and Counter-curses and A Compendium of Common Curses and Their Counter-Actions both wrapped smartly in leopard pattern wrapping paper. Leaving the Dorm he walked literally into a jungle. Complete with the sound of birds and flowing water, which he suspected was not flowing water but the butterbeer and fire whiskey he had carried through the tunnel for days for this event. He sat his gift on the 'gift rock' as the tables had all been transformed. Turning he paused as a couple of flamingos strolled past on their long legs. This was brilliant!! He remembered the conversation when Sirius first thought of this idea. It was excellent, though he wondered what Sirius would come up with for next year. Of course they had to disappoint Peter a bit, he was wanting a live tiger roaming about. That boy sometimes thinks of the oddest things. He grinned when he saw Sirius standing in the middle surveying his handiwork with pride. Walking up he lightly slapped him on his back, "Surveying your Kingdom?" he laughed as he watched a parrot fly past Sirius' head and land on a nearby branch. "You've out done yourself yet again my friend, you're going to have a hard time topping this next year." word count 323

Mai sighed to herself as she finished fixing her hair. "It'll do." She murmured to herself as she adjusted her bikini top. She had been debating with herself about coming to this party and had eventually decided it would be worth it. For one, it was party and Mai loved to party, especially when it was guaranteed that there would be some good drink there, plus it was in the common room so it's not like she couldn't just go back to the dorm if she wasn't having a good time. Also she had to admit, she looked good in a bikini. An Amazon theme, Mai couldn't help but smile at that, of course it was an Amazon theme, it was Sirius Black who was organizing the party after all, so of course he would pick a theme that would result in a lot of girls in bikinis. Mai quite liked her outfit though, her bikini was multi colored with leopard spots that tied at the front of the top and on sides of the bottoms, she also had a silk orange cheetah print cover up around her waist that tied at the side, leaving a slit up her leg. Mai's tattoos, four blue and red stars on her left hip and two blue butterflies on her right shoulder, were visible, as was her belly button ring with a cursive M. Her hair was pulled into a messy bun with several curls falling down and a lace orange flower tucked into the bun. Her make up was quite natural, just some mascara and a little lip gloss, Mai knew that her outfit was already colorful enough, she didn't need to do anything more. She gave the knot in her cover up and extra tug to secure the knot and picked up the present she had gotten for Remus. She didn't exactly know the guy that well but she had gotten something that she thought he would probably like, a huge bar of honeydukes chocolate and some chocolate frogs, it was well known that Remus Lupin was definitely a huge fan of chocolate, and it was safer than trying to get anything personal, since she wasn't exactly sure what he would like. As Mai reached the bottom of the stairs, her breath caught in her throat. Whoa. The common room looked amazing, she could barely believe that this was actually the common room. It looked like an actual rain forest. Mai headed out through the foliage and threes, glancing around for either some other people or a very strong drink. As she wasn't exactly paying much attention to where she was going, she ended up knocking into someone. She looked up and saw it was Lena Becket, a rather quiet girl who she shared a dorm with. "Oh, sorry, I'm such a clu-" Mai trailed off as she looked around her and saw Sirius standing near a punch bowl. Oh. My. God. Her mouth dried up just looking at him. He really was gorgeous, especially wearing THAT. Oh for Gods sake Mai, snap out of it, you're staring! She scolded herself mentally. But he looks so good...Word Count: 538 Outfit: www.polyvore.com/untitled/set?id=20202550Notes: Just in case anyone's wondering, these are Mai's tattoos- www.kooltattoos.com/images/Butterfly-Tattoo-Designs/butterfly-tattoos-back-shoulder-left-small.jpg + www.tattoo-enthusiast.com/images/stars-on-hip-new.jpg

People began to show up quite quickly, and Sirius’ vision of what the party would truly look like slowly came to life. He was pleased to see that people looked impressed, and was rather weary of the eleven year olds filing in. He hoped that they would stay away from the alcohol. The only people who were younger than thirteen showing up were Gryffindors. There was no way he could throw a party in the Gryffindor common room and not invite every Gryffindor. That was just inviting drama, or someone to tattle on them. Sirius knew quite well that McGonagall would no doubt expect a party on March 10. Since the Marauders started Hogwarts, Sirius always made sure that all of Remus, James and Peter, (along with himself) would have a party on their birthdays. McGonagall always seemed less irritable about Remus’ birthdays, but it was probably because he was Prefect. She did always (attempt) to close it down, but she was a lot more polite about it than if it was Sirius’ or James’ or especially Peter’s birthday. He was hoping she wouldn’t turn up too early: the birthday boy hadn’t even arrived yet. Sirius always had the sneaking suspicion that she allowed them to carry on until a certain point. She was strict, but not always unkind.
Sirius half-watched the stairs to the girls’ dormitories. Thankfully, the younger girls and boys seemed to opt for not really following the theme of the party. He was grateful for their way of thinking. Younger kids seemed to be more modest, or think that dressing up was lame. He doubted they would really stay long anyways. Kids also seemed to gravitate towards things like alcohol, and since it was unlikely that they were familiar with it, they would no doubt pass out within an hour or two. As he looked around, he realized that the only people who had showed up were Gryffindors. He wasn’t entirely surprised, for being caught in a party was one thing; but a party in a common room which wasn’t your own could potentially get you into even more trouble.
Suddenly, however, something caught Sirius’ grey eyes. Someone was moving on the girls’ dormitory stairs, and that someone just happened to be Lena Becket. She was scantily clad – as Sirius had hoped – but looked as gorgeous as ever. He never knew that she had a tattoo, but he actually liked it, despite the fact he wasn’t really one to like them. He usually liked the more natural look, but it wasn’t too gaudy, and it suited her in the sense that she always kept him guessing. He would have never guessed she had a tattoo.
As he was about to approach her, however, Mai happened to run into Lena. Sirius caught Mai’s eye for a split second before realizing that James had walked over to him. Sirius grinned at James’ attire. He glanced back at Mai to realize that she, too, had a tattoo. As he looked more, he realized that she had multiple tattoos and a belly button piercing. He wouldn’t have expected that from her either. Sirius had always been under the impression that Mai was a shy girl. Sirius forced his attention back onto his best mate, seeing as how both Lena and Mai were preoccupied anyways.
Sirius chuckled at James. “Decided to go full force, as well? Do you suppose that Peter and Remus are upstairs, deciding how much they can actually get away with?”
It then hit Sirius like a ton of bricks. Perhaps the theme wasn’t the best idea in the world. Yes, it forced people to show a lot of skin, but at the same time, it would no doubt cause Remus to show a lot of skin. And scars. He ignored the pang of guilt he felt suddenly, only to then realize that he had forgotten to invite Remus’ friend Annelise. He wanted to hit himself in the face. In his attempts to make the party the best of the year (other than perhaps the end-of-the-year one he liked to throw with the other Marauders), he forgot to invite the one person other than his male friends who Remus would probably want there the most. It was too late now, anyways, though. The likelihood of Sirius being able to excuse himself to write an invite and send it on its way and then the owl finding Annelise in enough time for her to show up was slim to none.
Sirius grinned at James’ comment. “Of course I’m observing. Look at all my lovely ladies,” he added, grinning at all the half-naked girls now in the room. “Well, to be fair, by next year I’ll have more magical knowledge – perhaps more to work with.”
Sirius had the temptation to put his hands in his pocket before realizing he had none. He instead kept his hands on his hips, indeed looking like a king. “Doesn’t look like Evans has shown up yet. Any other fine specimen catch your eye?”
He sincerely hoped that James would indeed chat up some other girls if Lily didn’t show up. He just wished his friend could move on, even just temporarily. A lot of the time girls realized that they were missing out on a boy because that boy ended up being taken by someone else. It wasn’t like he didn’t like Lily either. He was just mainly concerned about his mate’s happiness.

Outfit: clickTattoo: clickWord Count: 513 Lena had still been standing and looking around, smiling as she saw a pink flamingo go by. The birds really were pretty. She knew she would have to find a way to Sirius and tell him how amazing a job he did. Though it might end up boosting his ego more than it needed to be, he deserved the compliment for this. And she was always honest with him. His magic skills had been brilliant for this party. She had just seen the rock where some other presents were stacked and took a step toward it when she was run into by another girl. Lena, so much smaller than the other girl, grunted from the painful impact and dropped her present. She sighed and looked at the other girl, recognizing the girl Maia Hart from her dorm. The girl was…interesting from lack of a better term. They didn’t talk much at all. Lena was normally very quiet in the actual room and she didn’t really see the other girl outside their room. She’d never noticed the tattoos or belly ring before and it gave her pause. The tattoos were colorful and she kind of liked them. But the belly ring just looked weird. Lena had never seen one before and it would take some getting used to.
"Oh, sorry, I'm such a clu-" Lena had heard her starting to apologize and had started shaking her head. “No don’t worry…about…it.” Her words trailed off as she noticed the other girl staring off at something. She frowned at being ignored and forgotten and followed her gaze, her eyes catching Sirius in his little Amazon loincloth. Lena started to laugh and shake her head. That boy was begging for trouble, dressed like that. Though she did admit he looked sexy, she just knew they’d need a few drool buckets around. She bent and picked up Remus’ present before leaving Maia to wake her mind up on her own and headed to the rock where the other presents were. She set her present down and turned to head to get something to drink, which happened to be where James and Sirius were.
She smiled in hello at the taller boys. “Hello, gentlemen. I notice you’re protecting the drinks. Think you might let me have one anyway?” She batted her eyes at them, finding it a great joke before turning to Sirius. “You did a really good job on the transfiguration spells. I’m actually proud of you.” Lena smiled up at him, not in the least bit shy that she was in a bikini next to his bare skin. He’d said he liked her looks and she wasn’t even thinking about it anyway as they talked.

"Yeah..." his gaze followed Sirius' towards the girls. "Thought I'd give the girls something really HOT to look at besides that tub over there." He teased knowing full well that both girls eyes had locked on Sirius and stayed there. "Besides you are spreading yourself too thin, I wouldn't want a cat fight in here ... though" he paused thoughtfully as he watched Lena bend over to pick up the present she dropped. Tilting his head and bending slightly to get a better look he continued "... mud wrestling might not be a bad idea." He watched Lena sashay over to the gift rock. Watching her move and noticing every curve to her body. Was it getting too warm in here? or was it the Tropical weather? Yes... he did notice pretty girls and had just the same urges as Sirius, possibly more since he kinda put himself on the shelf waiting on Lily. But as usual she still pushes him away, still chooses Snape's company to his. Tonight, he decided he was going to have some fun. He doubted she would come, except to give Remus a gift. Though she could do that later or some other time. Of course Lena wasn't the only one he noticed. Mai was standing there looking mighty fine too. He was aware both girls were sporting tattoos, but it was a small flash of light that caught his eye. Mai was wearing a belly ring. He couldn't recall ever seeing one before, but thinking was that painful to get pierced there. He sighed as Sirius brought up the subject of Evans. "I wouldn't count on her coming, wouldn't think this her cup of tea and besides she knows I'll be here." Why should she come? She's made her feelings perfectly clear, painfully clear. Perhaps it was time to move on, to try to push her hold on him aside and have some fun! He was about to ask Sirius is he invited Annelise when Lena walked over. "'ello Lena, sleek outfit." he complimented. "Of course we are protecting the drinks, wouldn't do to have a tipsy hummingbird. It would be zipping and darting about could be very dangerous." He said seriously "Could put someone's eye out, but I would be honored to get you a drink." Leaving Lena as she complimented Sirius, he stepped over to a punch bowl that included a waterfall or rather a Butter Beer fall. Picking up a cup that looked like a pineapple he filled it and took it over to Lena. "Here you go ... one Butter Beer, unless you rather have something wilder like fire whiskey or tamer" He referred to the untouched-as-of-yet punch. word count 445 Outfit - Jungle Feversong- The Lion Sleeps Tonight (thanks to the theme I can't get it out of my head now) lol

Mai snapped out of her trance enough to realize Lena had walked away. Shaking her head, Mai sighed. "Get a hold of yourself girl." She mumbled to herself, brushing some hair from her face. "You're acting like a fool." Spotting a rock with some other presents on it, Mai left down her gift, then glanced around again, avoiding looking at Sirius for fear she'd end up staring again. It wasn't her fault, he just looked so, well, hot, for lack of a better term. It wasn't just that though, he just had this aura that seemed to attract people, as Mai's grandmother would say 'he was a very charming young man'.
Her hand brushed off the tattoo on her hip and she couldn't help but smile as the memory associated with that tattoo came into her head. She and her friend Diana had gone to London to stay with her cousin Amelia for a week. Long story short, The three of them had gone out, played a game of 'I never' and the next morning Mai woke up with a bandage on her hip and another on her shoulder, both of which, when peeled off, revealed tattoos that she didn't remember getting. Diana thought it was hilarious of course, until she realized that she had gotten one too.
The belly button ring had been a dare from her brother when they had been on holidays in America. She was pretty wasted at the time so she had done it, although it had hurt like hell, afterwards she had found that she actually quite liked it, the tattoos had already given her something different about herself and the belly ring had added to it, to the fact that there were things people didn't know about her, that people didn't expect, and she had liked that, so she kept it, rather than getting rid of it as her grandmother would have told her to if she ever found out.
As she looked around, Mai saw Lena talking to Sirius and James Potter, who seemed to have taken the same route Sirius had with his outfit, although this did not give Mai the same reaction that she had had from seeing Sirius, she couldn't help but give him an appreciative once over, despite her complete infatuation with his best friend. Well she had to admit, he did have a good body. Then she saw something that interested her even more, he was giving Lena a drink, God she could use one of those.
Purposely looking at Lena and James and not Sirius, Mai approached them. "Think you could get me one of those?" She asked James. "Something very strong please."

Sirius could see in his peripheral vision that James was now gazing at the girls as well. He listened to his mate, and couldn’t help but grin at his comment. “Mud wrestling, you say?” he replied, tilting his head as well. The two of them looked rather silly standing there with their heads tilted, but no one would really notice anyways. There were too many distractions. He couldn’t help but feel that he hadn’t been spending nearly as much time with James as he should have been lately. He raised an eyebrow, and then said to James, “You know, with enough alcohol, we could probably make that a contest for later.”
He chuckled at the possibilities, and knew full well how girls could get when they were angry with each other. Most girls just wanted to rip out each others’ hair. Who was to stop them if it just happened to grab the interest of other males in the room? Who was to say that it wasn’t an accident if mud was spilled onto them while they fought? A mental image of Lena and Mai fighting with each other appeared in his brain. He wondered how much provoking it would take, for he certainly wouldn’t be opposed if such a thing happened. No one had their wands on them anyways, so it wasn’t like they could just curse each other. Where were they really supposed to keep their wands? There was no room.
Sirius heard James’ tone of voice change a little when he spoke of Lily, but Sirius pretended to not hear it.
“Tonight’s a night of celebration, not a night to worry about such trivial things such as which girls are going to show up! Who were we talking about again?” Sirius asked, light-heartedly, hoping that James would get the point. Sirius wasn’t trying to be rude by any means. Any other time, he would be open to talking to James about his feelings or whatever for Lily. He just wanted James to focus on having a good time, and not the redhead who didn’t like to attend parties the Marauders threw. "Tonight's all about celebrating, intoxicating and fornicating!"
Sirius suddenly noticed Lena walk over, and then noticed James look suddenly cheerier. Sirius didn’t comment, but had the sudden impulse to snort. He was a little jealous that James had managed to get first compliment in, but he wasn’t too bothered by it. He watched as his mate wandered off, and then said to Lena, “Every time I see you, you’re wearing less and less clothes,” he said, smiling at her. He glanced over his shoulder at James, and then back to Lena and said, “And you said you didn’t really get much attention from guys.”
He winked at her as James returned and gave her the cup. Sirius then took the opportunity to turn away briefly to grab a straight Firewhiskey. He could handle his liquor very well. Yes, he would get drunk, but was a drunk, silly Sirius any different than a sober, silly Sirius? Well, he didn’t really know himself. He was just proud to say that as of yet, he had never puked from drinking, or even blacked out. Girls just always seemed a lot more attractive. He took a sip of it, and then realized that Mai had joined them as well. The image of mud-wrestling re-appeared in his mind, and began to choke on his Firewhiskey, causing his eyes to water. He began to laugh at the same time, which didn’t really help matters. Sirius noticed that Mai didn’t really look at him, and he saw her lips moving, but didn’t really hear what she was saying over his choking and laughing fit.

Outfit: clickTattoo: clickWord Count: 585 Lena had walked over to the boys. At first look she hadn’t seen James because of the branches of one of the trees but as she got closer she had seen him just as scantily dressed as Sirius. Yup. Drool buckets would have to be a necessity for the girls who were sure to show up. Lena was fine, used to shirtless guys honestly, but she could still be impressed and enjoy the view. She used to go to the beach when she was younger so guys dressed in very little were a normal thing. But for the other girls, no doubt they would be drooling. Individually, Sirius or James was heart thumping worthy. Together they brought together so much testosterone and sexiness, it was almost over powering. Bless her for being friends with these boys.
James was the first one to answer her as she spoke and she smiled brightly at him before letting her gaze slide down over his body to his little costume before going back up and winking at him. “Yours is pretty fantastic as well, James.” She laughed softly as he took the drink protector joke and ran with it. "Of course we are protecting the drinks, wouldn't do to have a tipsy hummingbird. It would be zipping and darting about could be very dangerous." Lena shook her head. “No, a drunk little bird would not be a good thing. Though, no doubt, there will be plenty of drunks by the end of the night. So a hummingbird might be the least of the worries.” When he moved away to get her drink she sighed happily in appreciation of him being nice enough to go get it before he attention was grabbed by Sirius. “Every time I see you, you’re wearing less and less clothes.” She laughed, blushing slightly, but shook her head at him. She decided to bring up one of their teases from the night he’d asked her on that date. “Makes you wonder when I’ll come down naked, doesn’t it?” Her eyes were full of mischief as she said that before shrugging. “James doesn’t count. Everyone knows about the Lily thing. And it also doesn’t count because I am showing off more skin than ever before that is made to make guys look.” She shrugged, not really bothered by it.
"Here you go ... one Butter Beer, unless you rather have something wilder like fire whiskey or tamer" When James was back with her drink in a nice pineapple cup she smiled brightly. “No, butterbeer works just fine. Thank you for getting it for me, Warrior James.” She continued the joke of saying they were protecting the punch before noticing Mai walking over and immediately asking them something hard to drink. Lena raised an eyebrow at the girl asking for hard liquor this early in the party but oh well. None of her business. Besides, she noticed Sirius choosing that as his drink as well. “When will the birthday boy actually get here? I heard he’d be a little late but do you know when?”

Remus was oblivious. Well.. not completely oblivious. He knew his friends were up to something - they always were when it came to birthdays, after all. Thing was, at present, he had forgotten all about it. How, you ask? Oh, very easy: he was with the girl he more-than-fancied and she was currently the one thing on his mind.
They had started off with their usual studying, really, as Remus still helped Annelise with her DADA and the finals were coming closer and closer. They still were a few months away, but Remus was rather safe than sorry, and he liked teaching Annelise, she was progressing rapidly and it was wonderful to watch her all excited and enthusiastic when something happened the way it should. In the end, they had of course ended up chatting a little until Remus had realised the time, and he still had a present for Annelise's birthday in his dorm. He told her so. "If you like you can walk along to my dorm right now?" he asked her, while packing away his things in his bag without really paying attention. "It won't take long, and no one will make a problem of it, as far as I know." There were certain advantages to being a Prefect, really..
As they walked to the portrait of the Fat Lady, Remus thought about what he'd gotten her, and hoped she'd like it. He had asked his father for some books that might interest Annelise, and John had send over 'Dragons and other Dangerous Reptiliae' and 'All You Should Know About Magical Creatures In The Field'. The latter was a little concise, but did touch upon the most important points, apparently. Remus had wrapped them himself and hadn't even done that bad a job, so they looked like actual presents. These thoughts were all still on his mind as he led Annelise into the common room after muttering the password ('twinkle toes '- very funny) and it took him a moment to realise something was wrong - no.. different! Wait, why were there trees? Who had- Sirius, no doubt, but where was- ah. Remus blinked. "Eh- Oh, wait." It started to dawn on him that it might be a party. There were presents on a table. Stone. There were drinks, there were some.. barely clothed people. Definitely Sirius' work. For a moment, he couldn't utter a single word, as his thoughts all tumbled over each other and he turned back to Annelise. "Eh, it would seem we have.. impeccable timing?"

"You're welcome" he responded as she took the drink, raising a brow to the warrior comment. "Oh no, no.... you are mistaken my dear. Yes to a certain extent I will keep watch over the swill, but only to see that we don't run out. As for me being a warrior, I'm a lover not a fighter ... " quietly his mind finished the sentence .. I'll leave that part to you girls. When Mai joined them and asked for a much stronger drink, Sirius' comment of a few moments ago popped up with enough alcohol, we could probably make that a contest for later. He couldn't help but look at the two girls before him and smile knowingly as he pictured them covered in mud. Of course about that time Sirius started choking and laughing at once. He looked over at him smiling for one couldn't help but laugh when Sirius laughed. Though he was completely clueless as to what was so funny. Perhaps something Lena had said before he came back. "You alright there?" he asked not really expecting an answer for the boy was still laughing with tears in his eyes. He nodded at Mai and stepped over to the same bowl Sirius had just left. This time picking up a cup that looked like a banana he filled it with the fire whiskey and brought it back to Mai. "Here you go." he said handing it over to her, before he realized that probably ... no he should have used a different cup. Seeing how his and Sirius' minds worked at the moment, the mental image he got when Mai took a drink sent a wave of excitement through his body. So much so he had to stifle a groan. But lucky for him the door to the common room opened and there stood the birthday boy, with a look of puzzled bewilderment on his face, completely erasing, at least for the moment, the image of a banana and Mai's mouth upon it. "There's the answer to your question!" He glanced at Lena then back to Remus. "Happy Birthday Mate!" word count 338 sorry for the timeliness and shortness .. working a lot of OT at the moment Outfit - Jungle Feversong- The Lion Sleeps Tonight (thanks to the theme I can't get it out of my head now) lol

It took Sirius a while to stop choking on his drink. He wiped his mouth afterwards due to some of the Firewhiskey spilling back out. He wiped his grey eyes to get rid of the tears that had appeared there. He tried to keep his focus on what Lena was saying, but due to all the excitement in the room, he was finding it rather difficult. He had a hard time keeping his attention on anything on a good day, never mind when there was music, half-naked people, hilarious mental images and James at his side.
“Well, I’m hoping that day comes soon,” Sirius replied. He grinned at the thought of Lena descending the staircase absolutely naked. It would be unexpected, but pretty much every guy’s wet dream. Who didn’t fantasize about someone they fancied showing up completely in the buff? Even better would be if she would walk over to him and say something along the lines of, ‘no talking - just you and me, now.’ It would never happen, but he couldn’t stop himself from hoping. Call Sirius an optimist. Sirius raised an eyebrow briefly at Lena’s Lily comment. “What do you mean, everyone knows about the Lily thing? Tonight James is a free agent. Don’t even know if I recall inviting her.”
It was untrue. Of course he had made the effort to invite Lily Evans, he just didn’t expect her to show up, unless she decided to crash it and shut it down. He hoped that she wouldn’t. She got along well enough with Remus anyways… would she really shut down his birthday party? He was hoping that she would find the whole thing endearing instead and cut them a break. The likelihood was slim, but so was the chance of her showing up at all. There was still plenty of girls in the room, and plenty of booze for James to consume. Sirius almost felt determined to get his mate a girl, if just for the night.
Sirius barely listened to the conversation James and Lena were having. He kept himself amused by watching everyone else. A few more first and second years arrived, but most of them looked too frightened to actually do anything. A brave second year got a cup of Firewhiskey, but after one sip decided to abandon it. Sirius met the boy’s eyes, and then took a great swig of his own, almost as to prove that the party was not for beginners. He felt the familiar burning sensation as he swallowed, but he ignored it, and didn’t cringe. The boy looked away as if intimidated.
However, Sirius certainly paid attention to when James handed Mai a banana cup. It was too much. James might have had self control, but Sirius certainly didn’t. He ended up bursting out laughing again, and it couldn’t be stifled. He couldn’t help it. He knew he was probably going to make Mai feel self-conscious, seeing as how this was the second time he was apparently laughing at her, but he couldn’t help it. Sirius really did have no self-control. He chugged back the rest of his Firewhiskey, and it stopped him from laughing for a least a moment.
“Are you enjoying your drink, Mai?” Sirius asked, and made a point of catching James’ eyes. He grinned, and then turned back to refill his cup. At that moment, however, he noticed that Remus walked in with Annelise. Well, that fixed his problem about the fact that he hadn’t invited her. However, both of them looked a bit confused. It then occurred to him that not only had he not invited Annelise, he hadn’t even bothered to think of a way to get Remus into the common room. He supposed that maybe he had believed that Remus would have shown up eventually anyways.
“Oy! REMUS! REEEMUSSSSS!” Sirius shouted extremely loudly over the heads of people now crowding the common room. He raised his hand with the cup in it to try to grab his mate’s attention. It didn’t take much, however, for Sirius to be noticed. Not only were he and James the least-dressed of anyone in the room at the moment, he was also the tallest, despite the fact he was only sixteen. Not to mention his impeccably good looks.

Annelise played with the small package she had in her coat pocket. Despite the fact that she and Remus had been inside all day, she wore her coat regardless. Besides, it could be seen as fashionable instead of just practical. She had taken it off when they were in their mini-lesson. Inside the wrapped package was a gold watch. It wasn’t overly expensive, but it wasn’t cheap either. She hadn’t found the courage to give it to him yet, and although when she had seen him she had wished him a happy birthday along with a hug and a kiss on the cheek, she couldn’t give him the present. When he suggested going to the Gryffindor common room so he could give her a gift, she began to panic internally. She didn’t want to get his gift before giving him the one she had gotten for him. It felt strange to be getting a gift on his birthday. She knew she’d have to give it to him when they got inside, but when they did, an amazing sight got her attention. The common room had been transformed into what looked like a jungle, and everyone was in animal-skin bikinis and loin-cloths. She didn’t know where to keep her eyes, so she opted for looking at the floor. This was obviously a surprise birthday party for Remus, and she was a little hurt that she hadn’t been invited. She tried to tell herself that they hadn’t told her because she spent so much time with Remus that they worried she might let something slip, but she didn’t believe it.
She smiled at Remus when he looked at her. “Yeah, I suppose we do.”
Annelise lost her nerve. She didn’t give him the present, mainly due to all the eyes on them after Sirius had shouted over. “Um, since I suppose this is a party, I’ll go get us some drinks. Why don’t you go over and talk to your friends for a moment? I'll meet you there.”
She separated herself from Remus, and went over to where the pile of presents were stacked. She took off her jacket, and placed the tiny package amongst what looked like many books. She was pleased that she had thought of something other than a book, but some other presents seemed quite a bit larger. She had hoped that she had gotten him one of the best gifts, but looking at the size of the rest, she wasn’t so sure. Annelise frowned, feeling rather self-conscious for the first time since she started ‘seeing’ Remus. She ignored the feeling, and went over to a waterfall of butterbeer mixed with firewhiskey. It was good, but still had a kick. She wasn’t much of a drinker, so she didn’t want to overwhelm herself; but at the same time kept in mind that it was a party.
Annelise returned to Remus and handed him a cup of the same thing she had. She glanced at the two Gryffindor girls surrounding James, Sirius and Remus, who both looked stunning in their animal-print outfits, and suddenly felt overdressed and as if she was the dull one of the group. She wasn’t used to feeling this way. She had never been invited to a party before, and seeing all the gorgeous girls all dressed up in bikinis made her feel as if she didn’t want to go to another one. By the way Sirius and James were ogling them, she couldn’t help but think that Remus would soon; or that he already had. She smiled at the girls, although the smile didn’t meet her eyes. Although she didn’t feel entirely comfortable, she didn’t want to a party pooper either. She raised the cup to her mouth and chugged half of it in one go. She looked over at James and Sirius, and had to admit in her mind that they looked good… really good. If she looked at them and could tell they looked great, wouldn’t Remus do the same to the girls now next to her? Besides, she knew that Remus occasionally studied with the Asian girl, as well.
She shook her head to herself. It was no use being jealous or self-conscious. She tried to tell herself that she and Remus weren’t technically dating and he was free to fancy whoever he wanted, but the burning sensation in her stomach had nothing to do with the beverage she was drinking. Annelise tried to ignore the feelings, and just tried to enjoy herself.

Outfit: clickTattoo: clickWord Count: 672 Lena didn’t know what was going on but it seemed James and Sirius might have been drinking a little too much firewhiskey. They couldn’t stop flirting or laughing or making comments. She rolled her eyes at James’ “As for me being a warrior, I'm a lover not a fighter ... " but smiled. "I don't know how much of a lover you are then. Besides, I prefer warriors." Lena winked at him, teasing. What he'd said was so not true. She’d seen him fight before. But if he wanted to pretend for the day, then oh well. He could pretend. Lena was pretending too. Pretending that not every single guy near her was staring at her not very clothed body. It almost made her want to run back up to the dorm room and stay there. ”It’s for Remus,” she kept chanting in her head. It was for Remus that she was down here and dressed like this. It was his birthday party. She couldn’t just leave and hide away. So she had to just pretend and go along with it all. Going along with it was a talent you learned when faced with the Marauders every single day of school.
When Sirius commented back about her comment on the Lily thing, she just raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean, everyone knows about the Lily thing? Tonight James is a free agent. Don’t even know if I recall inviting her.” She rolled her eyes and moved close so he could hear her but James and Mai couldn’t. “The Lily thing where he’s head over heels for her. And you did invite her, I saw you do it.” She stepped back again, withholding her other comment that he might be a free agent but he was looking over her body first. She knew Sirius didn’t get jealous over any girl and she knew it wasn’t serious so there was no reason to comment on it. If James really wanted to find a girl to be with for the night, he would. But he knew that she was off limits. Lena had heard it plenty of times behind her back that guys didn’t go at her because she was too nice and obviously wouldn’t do anything. And she wouldn’t. Lena wouldn’t just snog a random guy. There is no intelligence in that. If he’s randomly snogging you, who knows who else he might have randomly snogged before he got to you?
When she noticed the cup James gave Mai she rolled her eyes and once again the thought that the boys’ heads were deep deep in the gutter tonight resurfaced. Come on. Who makes banana shaped cups? Honestly. She actually sort of felt sorry for the girl because of what she had been given. It didn’t help with Sirius busting out laughing or his comments. Lena would have swatted him on the shoulder and tell him to not give her a hard time when Remus came in with his girlfriend. Or, well, Lena thought it was his girlfriend. They certainly were close together and she could tell they really liked each other. A bright smile cracked her face and she waved as well. “Remus! Happy birthday!” She had called it out loud enough he should have been able to hear. Should being the operative word considering Sirius had decided to attempt acting like a howler monkey and started yelling. One hand slid to her hips and she rolled her eyes again, but still had a small smile on her lips as she muttered, “Boys.”
