Dorcas kept an eye on James, she didn't really trust him that much when it came to other people, he was a pain in the arse Gryffindork after all but one that she didn't mind too much, whether it was because he was cute or because he'd saved her arse a million times she didn't know, she just knew that James was one guy she liked on a non-romantic level and therefore could talk to about anything, because other guys she'd either slept with, hated or were Adrian and she couldn't tell Adrian anything.
Dorcas knew she'd done something wrong the second she'd thought of Adrian. As usual when she thought about him, he turned up as though he was reading her mind, waiting for her to think of him so he could intrude whatever company she was with, what was not good was that his sister had a spot of trouble with James but Dorcas really hoped it had passed, Holly had walked away from James and gone to the bar, with any luck she wouldn't be bothered again but luck probably wouldn't have anything to do with it, just her older, neanderthal brother that was probably going to do more harm than good. ... Was he? Drunk?! The stumbling and slurring and loudness would suggest yes, he was.
Dorcas knew there was no possible way this would end good for Adrian and as much as she wanted to be seriously pissed off at him - and she was, she thought, she still wanted Slytherin to win the Quidditch house cup, which they wouldn't be able to do with their captain in a coma, caused by what would probably be the entire Gryffindork Quidditch team. Dorcas was in two minds whether to just leave him or not. She wasn't used to helping out drunk people, she was the one that was usually being cared for. She was however, competitive and wanted to win no matter what the cost.
Dorcas looked up and saw that Adrian had set one of the banners on fire. She rolled her eyes, whipped out her wand and silently put it out with a shoot of water, drenching some of the girls in the area however, once she looked back toward Adrian, she noticed he was advancing on Peter. Dorcas was half tempted just to let him get on with it, she wanted to see Adrian in pain, or even Peter, either one she'd be amused by, but at the same time the preservation of her competitive streak sprung its head and she knew things should probably be controlled now rather than later, though she did wonder where Adrian had got so drunk, either the Hogs Head or up at the castle, if it had been up at the castle he wouldn't have made it all the way down here in one piece, if it was the Hogs Head then she wondered who he'd been with, he didn't seem the type to drink alone.
Walking over toward Adrian, Dorcas sighed, she had no idea how Adrian was supposed to be controlled but there probably wasn't anyone else in the pub willing to do it without hurting Adrian. His sister probably wouldn't mind a bit of drama that meant James' party was ruined where as everyone else probably wanted his head on a plate and although the thought was appealing, she couldn't really let that happen.
"Adrian." Dorcas called his name to get his attention, she was stood a couple yards from him but still had her wand out and ready, not that she thought it was going to resort to that, but you never knew with Adrian, when he was sober he'd thrown a beaters bat in her face so Merlin only knew what he would do when he was drunk. "Adrian what the hell are you playing at?" She said calmly, trying not to sound annoyed at the idiot that had tried burning the Three Broomsticks down to the ground. The last thing she wanted was an angry drunk Adrian on her hands.

Post by Sirius Black! on Aug 25, 2010 19:22:00 GMT 1
Sirius grinned at Peter continuing on about the girls. It wasn't often that he was able to have guy-talk with Peter because admittedly, Sirius often sought out James for that sort of thing, if at all. However, Peter stopped speaking halfway through his sentence and Sirius looked up to see Adrian Nott come through the door and light James' birthday banner on fire. He didn't know Nott well as Sirius wasn't on the Quidditch team, but the guy had a reputation. He watched as Dorcas put out the flames, and then Nott began to walk in Peter and Sirius' direction. Sirius automatically stood up and drew out his wand. He got a little too close to Peter, and threatened to light Peter's hair on fire. Sirius took the opportunity to step between the two, and he could clearly smell the alcohol coming off of him.
Sirius then decided that Nott was standing too close to him, and seeing how intoxicated the guy was, Sirius chose to push him away instead of hexing him. He fully expected Nott to end up just fall over. He looked around Nott to James as if looking for help. He doubted he'd need James, but he liked to know that he would have back-up, because honestly, he didn't expect Peter to do much good.
"I think Peter wants fire on his head just about as much as you're wanted at this party," Sirius sneered angrily. He kept his wand ahead of him just in case Nott tried anything funny, or even Dorcas for that matter. He didn't expect Dorcas to do anything wrong, because as far as Sirius was aware, she was on good terms with James. Then again, she was still a Slytherin after all. Not like they were known for being overly loyal or anything.
Sirius tried to make sure that he was covering Peter as much as possible. He didn't want to risk Nott somehow cursing Peter from around Sirius. If Nott were to light Peter's head on fire, Sirius could no doubt put it out quickly, but it probably wouldn't damage-free. Sirius' eyes flickered to the now half-burnt banner. He was now very much regretting his choice of location, but he thought it might have been a good spot for there were usually Professors around. Looking now, it seemed like they were out of luck. All they had was Remus and that silly other Slytherin Prefect (he wasn't sure if she was gone or not), but he seriously doubted that Nott would be put off by Remus. It took all of Sirius' will to not hex Adrian, but he knew that if he threw the first punch (figuratively) then he would no doubt be the one in trouble. As much as he wanted to do a pre-emptive strike on him, he knew it would be the stupid thing to do. Sirius pointed his wand at Adrian's chest. How easy it could be, really.
He tried hard to not let his Black side take over, but in his head he was thinking about all the potential hexes and curses he could use. This was practically the last straw for him. He knew that if much more went wrong, he would probably just leave early in a moody fashion and wait for the other Marauders up at the cave they had planned to meet at afterwards. He wasn't really in the mood to begin with, and this was just making it worse.

So far the party was going very well nobody was drunk and she had only had to use her wand to summon present for James. She smiled as everything was running smoothly. And since this was the party of James Potter she considered that quite an achievement. The group he was involved in who was know all present at the party with the arrival of the more sensible of the Marauders Remus Lupin. Out of the group Alice probably knew more about him and talked to him more since she was head girl and him a house prefect. Plus there was the fact that Remus was defiantly the more sensible of the group. Peter wasn't so bad and he kinda just tagged along and it was defiantly clear that James and Sirius was the ring leaders in the group as there was no doubt about that.
Though then with the entrance of an unwanted guest Alice's hopes of not having to us her Head Girl authority. Adrian Nott had stumbled into the pub and he looked to be rather drunk. Great just what she need a drunk Slytherin that she might possibly have to cart back up to the castle and hand over to the Slytherin head of house. He then continued to set a banner on fire which was put out by a fellow seventh year Dorcas. Then he went to approach Peter his wand still out so Alice didn't trust what he might do with it drunk. Just like Muggle with there no drink driving Alice didn't think it was wise for Wizard to use magical under the influence of alcohol. "Expelliarmus." Alice said pointing her wand towards his in hope to knock the wand out of his hands and make her presence known to him.

Post by alecto mileena carrow on Aug 26, 2010 12:33:28 GMT 1
Alecto Carrow sighed to herself as she heaved herself into her tight fitting black leather trousers. Adrian Nott had really tired them out during the morning's practice. Her bones and muscles were still aching. Really, Adrian was a great guy, but he could be a little too caught up in the whole 'Slytherin must win the cup this year'-thing. Of course they would win, they had a great team on their side, and well, honestly, did those other houses really think that they could beat Slytherin? Slytherin would win, there was no need for Adrian to wind himself up over it.
He'd been gloomy the entire practice, and of course, Alecto Carrow couldn't let him get this day to waste so she'd pointed him towards a day/night out in Hogsmeade. He was still gloomy though, didn't want to go out. But Alecto Wouldn't be Alecto if she didn't have great skills to persuade people to do exactly what she wanted. The only thing it took to get Adrian out of the castle was the promise of some heavy drinking and.. of course, it had been too long, some mind-blowing sex afterwards.
Grinning at her reflection in the mirror, Alecto pulled her green leather jacket over her arms. Her hair was done in a tight ponytail, the curls swooped just upon her shoulders. And then with one last glance, she took of to meet Adrian.
It hadn't taken that long to get him in the mood, soon enough they were both rather drunk, laughing and talking too loud for the crowd of The Hog's Head. Then, though she didn't have a clue where Adrian got the idea, he suggested for them to go to the Three Broomsticks. Honestly, that place was the last place Alecto Carrow would wanted to be seen. But she was slightly too tipsy to care. Walking along the streets of Hogsmeade, she was blabbering about how she would sneak into his bedroom later that night and lock all the other guys out when she noticed he wasn't replying. She looked over her shoulder. Where the fuck had he gone? She turned around, went back to the Hog's Head, but as she had expected he wasn't there...
So, nothing to do except go to the Three B's and see if he was there. She walked back, her high stiletto boots clicking upon the road, as she tried to be as graceful as possible. Yes, she might be slightly tipsy, but she still knew what she was doing.
Entering, she noticed a big banner and balloons covering the entire scene of the Three Broomsticks. Her nose curled up, those tacky things could have only been done by someone who wasn't in Slytherin, probably a hufflepuff. She would have ran out immediately if she hadn't seen Adrian putting the banner on fire. Her snarl turned into a smirk and she stepped in, walking over to Adrian, rolling her eyes as Dorcas put the fire out. Honestly, was this woman really in Slytherin?
"Dorcas, Dorcas, Dorcas... " she tutted while stopping next to Adrian. "If you want to ruin the ugly banner, you should have Adrain take care of it.. It's so much nicer to see it burn than have it dripping with water... Though the soaked Hufflepuffs over there are giving a nice side-effect." she smirked as she turned fully around to talk to Adrian. It was then when she noticed... HIM.
Sirius Black was standing right in front of her. Within a few seconds the flashback started, her hand went involuntarily to her side where the big Acromentula had cut through her flash. He'd been there, that night. He'd saved her.. and Merlin Forbid; they'd slept with each other that same night. It had been a once- in - a -lifetime experience, both satisfying and even more confusing.. that night she hadn't pretended to be someone she was not. She'd been Alecto again, the one she had been before she'd been put in Slytherin, before Rabastan had happened... She swallowed, put on her smirk again, and tried to act as if what had just played through her mind hadn't happened... only she couldn't.
Flashes kept coming back, she on top of Sirius, Sirius naked flesh, his hands all over her body.... Alecto blinked, her throat became dry... If anybody ever found out, she would be in Sirius trouble... no pun intended.

There's one in every crowd, brings the party in us out, good time charley with a harley, whiskey bent and hellbound, he's got the next round, but he always drinks for free, there's one in every crowd, and it's usually me (or Siri)
Finally! Yes she finally got the message through her thick skull... seeping into whatever was in that void where everyone else had a brain. His eyes following her to make sure she left, before falling upon Remus who just walked past her. James had been wondering if he was going to show up. He had a right to didn't he? Remus all but disappeared along with Sirius at his own party. Leaving James to take care of the guests and even returning the common room back to normal at the end. Then lately Remus has been hanging around with his ... girlfriend? That was a new concept James had to wrap his mind around. That Remus, who didn't want people to get too close for fear of finding out about his furry self would in fact encourage a relationship.
Sorry I'm late ... I was waiting for your gift to arrive, can't believe it took so long to get here, I would've ordered it earlier- ... I hope you like it.
James took the gift from Remus and smiled before saying jokingly "Better late than never." He tossed off the rest of his drink and sat the glass on the table near the other two unopened gifts. Turning the gift over in his hand he looked at Remus knowing that the boy was mostly financially strapped. He dearly wanted to tell he that he shouldn't have gotten him anything, that his mere presence was enough. But he didn't want to hurt his feelings or embarrass him. "Thanks mate." he said as he started to rip open the corner of the paper.
He was so preoccupied that he did not see Adrian come in. The screams of astonished Hufflepuffs as the banner went up in flames closely followed by them being drenched by water caught his attention. He turned and took it all in. The wet Hufflepuffs, Adrian and Sirius face to face with drawn wands and Dorcas. Stern faced he sat the present down next to the others without taking his eyes off of the gathering. Just then Alecto showed up. He slipped his wand out, holding it at his side and made his way across the room.
Walking up to them where he was at Sirius' side but not too close. Wouldn't want to give the Slytherin a shot at taking two out with one shot. "Just what is it with you belly crawlers? You so desperate to be Gryffindor that you come uninvited to our party?" He laughed "Oh wait I see ... you two are our entertainment, mighty kind of you to offer up yourselves!" He reached up with his left hand and rubbed the bottom of his chin in mock concnetration. "Let see here ... what can we have you do?" Oh yes he was thinking of all sorts of 'fun' stuff, not caring whether he would get in trouble or not... for when one has been drinking one tends to think he is six feet tall and bullet (or wand) proof.

Get lost Nott.
Adrian raised an eyebrow. Apparently the boy wasn't afraid of speaking up, even though his reply had been quite pathetic. Was that supposed to scare him? Adrian had no idea of who this Gryffindor was, but he looked like a chubby little fourth year to him, so how could that possibly go well for the dork? Adrian let out a low chuckle at this thought. What a silly, little Gryffindor.
"Oh really?" He laughed, not even pretending to be intimidated in any way. "And what are yeh gonna do about it, little boy? Comeon, pull out your wand and lez see you try." Adrian found all of this very amusing, even though he was having a hard time staying on his feet. Why did his vision have to be so blurry? Raising his wand again, he aimed it at the boy, ready to fire a jinx at him when he had to.
Then he heard a familiar voice say his name. His wand still aimed at Pettigrew, Adrian turned his voice so that he could see her, realizing immediately that he had been right when he'd guessed that it was Dorcas, even though she never called him by his first (well, middle, actually) name. She actually looked very pretty, he happened to notice. But why was she at a Gryffindor party? Ah well, it didn't really matter. He was just happy to see her there.
"Heeey, Dorcas." He said, smiling at her. He had already forgotten that she even asked him a question. Not paying any attention to Pettigrew anymore, Adrian lowered his wand again. Then Alecto was suddenly standing next to him, talking to Dorcas as well. Had she been there the whole time, too? "And hello to you, too." He attempted to bow for her, but failed and had to grab onto the table next to him so that he wouldn't fall. Putting an arm around Alecto's shoulders, he looked back at Dorcas. "Get over here. Group hug." He laughed.
But before there was any time for hugging, Adrian noticed someone else walking towards him and then he was pushed. Obviously, he was in no state to be able to stay on his feet after something like that, so Adrian fell backwards, landing with his back on the same table he had just used for support. First, he just felt confused, but then, of course (with his gentle temper always at the ready), he felt all too the familiar rage begin to boil inside of him. Had the boy lost his mind?
Now surprisingly alert, Adrian stood back up and looked straight into the eyes of his 'attacker', recognizing him at once as Sirius Black. Everyone of pure blood knew the Black family. But Sirius was nothing like anyone else in that respected family. Everyone knew he was a disgrace, and Adrian was glad his family had never had to suffer such embarrassment.
"If I were you, Black," he snarled. "I would get down on my knees right now and apologize." Pausing for a few seconds, he thought about what he had just said and decided to change his mind. "Actually..." Adrian began, raising his wand. Just as he was about to send Sirius flying backwards his own wand flew out of his hand. Normally, he would have been prepared for a simple expelliarmus spell, but he was just too drunk to be able to focus on more than one person at the time.
Looking around to see who had taken his wand, his eyes settled on a redhead that had her wand raised. He knew she was Head Girl and that her name was something like Ally, but that didn't matter right now. She had his wand! He couldn't remember ever being this mad while drunk before, but then again he didn't usually wander into Gryffindor parties. He was so angry his hands were shaking, so grabbed hold of a chair next to him and threw it against the wall as hard as he could, so that a few of the legs broke off.
"Give me my wand back." He said very slowly so that she would know how serious he was. Adrian did not like hitting women, but he was already having a hard time controlling himself. He didn't care that she was Head Girl. Of course, at that point James Potter decided to join their little, well, thing. You two? What did he mean two? Alecto and him? Adrian wanted to grab the little bastard, throw him to the ground and kick him until he passed out from pain. But he saw the wand that was in his hand and knew that if he moved towards him at all, the coward would use it against him. "You're pretty tough, aren't you, Potter? When there's thirty people around to defend you, that's when the true, brave Gryffindor comes out." He let out a mocking laughter. "Oh, why did the Sorting Hat put me in Slytherin? I'm so jealous that I don't have that kind of courage."

Post by dorcas on Aug 27, 2010 6:16:38 GMT 1
One thing after the other happened to make things escalate and none of it was good really, though Adrian did sort of seem pleased to see her there and as much as she wanted to smile, Dorcas didn't, she held it back because she didn't want Adrian thinking she liked him, which she didn't because he was an arse, but she did because she just liked him a lot for some reason, though she couldn't fathom what the reasoning for it was, he was a complete bastard, they argued constantly and yet there was just something there, something unexplainable to her at the moment, but she would figure it out eventually.
Upon hearing Alecto's snide voice Dorcas rolled her eyes, this meant that things could only get worse from here on out, Adrian she might have been able to control, to persuade to leave with her and head up to the castle, but Alecto? She was a whole different story. She was far too independent to let anyone try and manipulate her, Dorcas knew because she was quite similar but sometimes gave into common sense and reason, Alecto didn't, she was hard headed and proud, a dangerous combination when in a dangerous situation with dangerous people surrounding them. Sure they were seventh years, sure they'd be able to take them on one on one, even two on one and win easily, they had more experience behind them, but there were probably thirty, forty or fifty people there, all turned out for James' party and there was no way they could take on that many, even if Dorcas joined them, which she probably would, they meant more to her personally than everybody else apart from James but two out weighted one, it was simple math.
Dorcas smiled and nearly laughed as Adrian suggested a group hug. There was no way it was going to happen, especially as Sirius pushed Adrian. Dorcas glared at the boy, no one touched Adrian, that just wasn't on. Dorcas gripped her wand tightly, her temper boiling so easily at the thought of Adrian hurt and then, to make matters worse Adrian had his wand taken from him. Dorcas was outraged. Nothing could have pissed her off more, so without thinking, she pivoted around to the culprit but before she could do anything, Adrian threw a chair at the wall. Dorcas didn't even flinch, it was the very least she had expected, if she had been Adrian she would have launched herself at the stupid whore and punched her repeatedly in the face ... actually, that sounded like quite a good idea and Dorcas was pissed enough to do it but instead she non-verbaly sent a strong 'stupefy' at the bitch and quickly summoned Adrian's wand non-verbally, catching it in her left hand, no longer paying any attention to Alice, the girl wasn't worth it Dorcas had decided, but she had enough pent up rage to take it out on the next person that pissed her off and it wouldn't be magical violence, she would get physical.
"Belly crawlers?" Dorcas repeated to James in a clearly insulted tone after James had insulted her housemates and Adrian had been amusing in response. She wanted to raise her wand slowly and point it at his chest but she didn't because it would be the ultimate insult really. "I'd watch what you were saying Potter." Dorcas still had hold of her wand, she wasn't sure whether she should just get another drink, kick Alice in the face a couple of times for being a stupid whore or stand by Adrian and Alecto, one thing she knew was that if Adrian got hurt, she was going to go ballistic and quite possibly paralyse or even kill someone.

Post by Sirius Black! on Aug 27, 2010 17:51:20 GMT 1
There seemed to be so much going on, so Sirius tried to deal with one thing at a time. First, it was Adrian who seemed drunker than Sirius had witnessed in a long time. Adrian had fallen into a table, and Sirius didn't care. In face, he was sort of hoping that Adrian would have impaled himself on some sort of butter knife. Unfortunately, he picked himself back up again and began ranting or something.
"I believe out of the two of us, you're the one who's spent more time on their knees," Sirius said with a grin, barely even registering the fact that Adrian was only half-paying attention to what was going on. Sirius was only slightly intimidated by Adrian raising his wand at him as Sirius continued with, "So how about you show me how it's done?
Sirius listened to what Adrian said to James, and Sirius could feel his blood begin to boil only slightly. Gryffindor courage was one of the things Sirius always prided himself on, and he didn't particularly like someone saying that it wasn't true. He didn't usually fight James' battles for him, but he felt as if he had to say something.
"Oh, that's rich coming from a guy who needed liquid courage before they could come into a place where they knew they'd be protected by any possible professors to begin shouting empty threats," Sirius replied, angrily.
"OI!" Sirius suddenly shouted for he noticed that Dorcas had stupified Alice and returned Adrian's wand to him. It practically confirmed to him that every Slytherin, even one that James had decided to befriend, were all useless. "Yes, let's defend the poor helpless drunk Slytherin," he said to Dorcas. "Instead of being a true friend and escorting him out."
Sirius walked around Dorcas and Adrian, and locked eyes briefly with Lecto. He paused for a split second before averting his eyes and making his way over to Alice. He pointed his wand at her and said, "Enervate!" in order to revive her. Now that he had noticed Alecto, he felt awkward. It wasn't like he was going to impress her, he wanted all the Slytherins out of the party including her, but he still felt a little held back now that she had shown up.
Great, Sirius thought to himself, bitterly. Two girls are here that make me uncomfortable... He wondered maybe if it was his own fault, but that thought only crossed his mind for a split second before being forgotten. He stood up and faced everyone again in order to not be hit in the back... he wouldn't have been surprised. They were Slytherins after all. However, he remained standing next to Alice. James was on the other side with Remus and Peter, so Sirius didn't want to give them the opportunity to get them all in one go.
OOC: Random thought, but once the banner went up in flames, wouldn't Rosmerta have shut down the party?

There's one in every crowd, brings the party in us out, good time charley with a harley, whiskey bent and hellbound, he's got the next round, but he always drinks for free, there's one in every crowd, and it's usually me (or Siri)
Belly crawlers? ... I'd watch what you were saying Potter.
He didn't expect Dorcas to choose Gryffindor's side, but he did expect her to stay out of it. She was after all a friend and a guest even though Slytherin, if anything she should have stopped it. He did not start it ... Nott did. Nott drew first blood so to speak by crashing the party in a threatening way. Did she expect them to stand by and let it happen? He glared at her defiantly, before turning his attention back to Nott.
His temper flared as Nott insinuated that he had to hide behind his friends, that he didn't have the courage to face him one on one. He barely heard Sirius' retort to Nott, but when he finished James spoke up. "Anytime you think you are man enough to take me and want to come alone and not hide behind a women's skirt then bring it!" Of course he was meaning Carrow but if Dorcas took it to mean her than so be it.
Apparently she chose her side and the fate of their friendship with her next move when she attacked Alice. Alice was trying to disarm the situation unlike Dorcas. His temper hit the boiling point as he saw Alice hit the floor in a heap. Nobody attacks his friends ... ever! Taking a step back making sure he was out of Nott's reach, he raised his wand, and cold sober pointed it at the three of them. "Get out!" He said coldly, his eyes full of warning to Dorcas "and take that trash with you." By that time everyone in the room had turned their attention to the party crashers. They encircled the group. He knew that Nott didn't have his wand, Dorcas had it ... he could easily disarm Dorcas but with a second wand she could fight back. She may get him but Sirius, Remus or the rest of the Gryffindors and especially the Quidditch team would retaliate.
Madam Rosmerta was busy with the crowd out front. There were a lot of Hogwart's students taking advantage of the weekend, filling up her establishment. Her first priority was taking care of her customers. Sure there was a party going on in the back room but that was already paid for, the food and drinks were already served, besides there were suppose to be professors and prefects there. At least that was what she was told. So at first when the screams came from the room she thought the boys were up to their tricks. It wasn't until several excited first or second years came running out saying her building was on fire that she got concerned.
Leaving the bartender in charge she made her way to the back room. As she entered everything was quiet you could hear a pin drop. She took in the whole situation in a glance. Placing her hands on her hips "Oi ... what be going on in here?" She didn't wait for an answer, this was her place and she wasn't about to have it torn up by unruly students, no matter how much she liked some of them. "I think you all better be getting on back to school now, rest assured Headmaster will be hearing of this." She paused waiting for them to move and wands to be put away. "Go on git."

Ed was a little late as he made his way towards the lit windows of the three broomsticks. There was a fifth year Hufflepuff somewhere who was very very satisfied at their first taste of sex. HE smirked a little to himself and walked faster. THere was defintely something going on inside, so he walked in with a grin.
"Happy Birthday! Where're th-" Whatever he was going to say died on his lips as he took in the whole situation. Wands drawn, and the landlady taking a stand. Surprise surprise, it was Slytherin's lot versus Gryffindor's -house rivalry was one thing, but those two houses ahd never got on and it was more like House enmity.
Pointing with both index fingers at the nearest battleready party goer, he made a small disappointed noise and took a step to the side, out of the line of fire,"Hokayyyy...I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the party is on hold?"
Taking quick stock of the two opposing sides, Ed found himself hoping they managed to injure each other a little, Hufflepuff was a good team, but injuries meant lower goals and in the even of a drawer, the potential to win on goals would be hufflepuff's as long as they didn't lose a match.
Still, it was a crying shame he'd left a warm cosy bed for the cold, hateful glares in the room.

he situation was getting worse with the second, and all Alecto could do was stand there, watch the crowd in amusement with a satisfied smirk on her face. Dorcas was clearly losing it, Adrian was way too drunk for his own good, Potter was obviously getting rather angry for a Gryffindork and Sirius, .. mm.. seemed like he wasn't really acting like his normal hot-tempered self. Or at least, so it appeared to her. Her wand was, as most times, hidden in the inner pocket of her leather jacket, one swift movement and she would have it in her hands. But, Alecto wouldn't be a Carrow if she was that stupid. Two Slytherins, maybe three of you counted Dorcas, against a full total of twenty, perhaps more Gryffindork lovers. Heck, yes she knew dark curses, but she knew she couldn't use them here, not in broad daylight, and certainly not with so many mudblood lovers around. So, what was better than to divide and conquer?
Keeping her wand in her pocket, she took a small step forward, her eyes turning towards James as a very satisfied, almost coy smile crossed around her features. "Now come on James...", she said almost friendly while giving a soft smile towards Adrian. "We didn't mean to crash your party.." If you didn't know the female part of The Carrow Twins you would have thought she was being perfectly nice, trying to calm the mood of everybody, but those who truly knew the manipulative side of Lecto, they knew better. She thrived on situations like this, where control and power were about to spread out. She loved to put a few extra sparks to the fire, to see how hard it ignited.
It was then that Rosmerta's voice called out over the crowd. Damn, how she hated that woman. Strutting around like she owned the place, well she did, but still, Alecto didn't really like the woman. She turned around though, that perfect smile plastered on her face like it had been so many times before. "Sorry, Madame Rosmerta.. It was just a tiny accident. Adrian here, almost tripped with his wand in his hands. Dorcas was so kind to put the flames out immediately.", she started, giving Adrian a warning look not to lose his temper right now. "We'll behave, promise."
And with that, she turned back around, towards the four gryffindor boys. "Come on now, boys. I know we can lay our differences aside for this one time.", she said softly before her eyes flickered over to Sirius. Heck, she knew she could lay aside her differences for a few more times if it included shagging him again. She blinked, plastered the smile back onto her face and cursed herself mentally. She shouldn't be thinking about his body right now, she needed to keep her head cool, in order for Rosmerta to disappear and so that they, meaning Slytherin versus Gryffindor, could at least have a little bit more 'fun' before they went away.
"So,", she started again, after hearing a door close behind her, hoping it was Madam Rosmerta who had decided that they weren't going to do any more harm to her precious pub. " I think we should 'spice' this party up a little.". Her gaze locked back on Adrian. It was still a question if he would like her next move or not. But, it was an old tactic her father had always told her she would have to use someday.. Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer... Perhaps, today was a nice start of that ideology. "We all got off on the wrong foot, I feel. So why don't we celebrate this party with a good ol' Truth or Dare. Don't wanna tell, or don't wanna do. Drink three shots of Firewiskey in a row.", she said while placing a bottle she'd been hiding underneath her jacket upon a table. "What do you say, Gryffindors... Are you brave enough to take up the challenge? "

Adrian had ruined everything for James. It was a shame but what could be done about it now? Dorcas didn't regret knocking Alice out, the stupid bloody bitch had used magic to try and defuse a tense situation, there were so many things wrong with that on so many different levels, any number of other students could have turned to magic straight after that, there could have been multiple duels going on or just as worse, Adrian could have thrown a fist at someone and started a brawl. No. Disarming someone with magic was not the way to go about peaceful cooperation, especially not with a drunk Slytherin only interested in looking after himself.
"Go to hell Black, I don't care for your opinion." She hissed eager to get out of the pub, but that wasn't going to happen just yet. James was insulting Adrian and that could only make things worse. Why did Gryffindors always look for a fight? Why did they always have to try and prove that they were stupid idiots, incapable of fear that always, always tried to be the hero?! Yes! Adrian was a bastard that ruined James' party! Yes! He could have been dealt with if everyone just ignored him and let Dorcas get him the fuck out and Yes! Alecto turning up did make things more awkward but really, was the over reaction of the Gryffindors any better than Adrian's entrance? Not really. They just made things worse, and probably on purpose.
James tried throwing them out and Dorcas rolled her eyes in frustration. Yeah, sure, that was going to work. Tell her to get out and take the other two with her? Like hell she could control either of the bloody idiots she was forced into a house with and unfortunately, forced into this situation. "If you think I can control either of these two Potter, you're stupider than you look right now." She said quietly towards James. She didn't hate him and she didn't want to lose him as a friend, but there'd certainly been some damage done to their relationship, whatever kind of relationship it was to start with. Still, Dorcas was sure it wasn't anything that couldn't be cured with a little time of avoidance and then some sort of apology and witty comments to lighten the feel. However, time did have to come first and so Dorcas was willing to leave about now and try and convince Adrian to come with her.
Slipping her hand onto Adrian's shoulder, Dorcas was about to whisper in his ear when Alecto spoke up after Madam Rosmerta had been and gone. Truth or Dare? Was she serious? Merlin how juvenile could you get? Dorcas just wanted to bang her head against a wall repeatedly but then again, they were talking to a bunch of fifth years mainly, most of which were horny guys so yeah, it would't surprise Dorcas if they did go for it, if they did want a game of Truth or Dare, Dorcas however wasn't hanging around to see what the hell happened.
Leaning into Adrian, she whispered in his ear "Have fun, I'm leaving and taking your wand so you can't do any more damage." She said, slipping both her wand and Adrian's away into her cloak. "Remember, behave, you'll need to be in one piece for the up and coming Quidditch match." Dorcas let her hand drop from Adrian's shoulder and nodded at james. "See you around Potter. Your birthday cake is out back, just ask Rosmerta to get it for you." She said, taking a step back and turning around and leaving the three Broomsticks in favour of the Hogs Head,. It was going to be much, much more quieter over there, though she may have to get her wand out every now and then to curse a pervert out of her way, but that was nothing unusual and nothing she couldn't handle.

Seriously? SERIOUSLY?! She didn't even see it coming. In fact she'd later on realise she was quite dumb not to. The only thing she had to save her arse, was the fact that she was surrounded by a great few talented students. Most of whom she could consider to be friends. How ridiculous had this honestly become? Stunning students willy nilly! How utterly unnecessiary. Alice had only been trying to defuse the situation. Admitedly, it wasn't exactly her first choice. Nor was it her gut instinct. Truthfully, she should have been standing much closer to one of the boys...Possibly even behind. Then again. That could have gotten them harmed. And just what kind of head girl would Alice be if she went on letting that sort of thing happen?
As Sirius revived her, Alice blinked. Her eyes felt fuzzy, she'd had entirely enough. "Sirius..." Sitting up she rubbed my arse as she stood. "Erm... Thanks, Siri... Guess I should have seen it coming..." Alice was glaring now at Dorcas. Walking around here like she owned the frickin place. She stayed close to Sirius as James pulled out his wand. This was getting far out of hand. The boys were obviously not going to do anything but fight. Good lord. "Sirius..." She placed her hand on his arm and gave him a 'why do you boys solve everything with hexes' look. "Honestly... You lot are going to scortch my reputation.."
But it wasn't his response that she heard next. Dorcas was talking. Something something..blah blah.. Alice didn't frankly care what she had to say. That bloody drama queen could go to hell for all she cared. Well that wasn't very nice of her to think.. Maybe just somewhere very unpleasent... for the weekend or something...Maybe she could just find something wrong with Dorcas and give her a detention. UG! She was too nice for her own good. Before Alice could tell her to just leave and not make the situation any worse, Alecto, of all people, should try and be...nice? For what cause? No one wanted her here in the first place. What in the name of hell made her think she would be wanted now?
"I don't think so, Alecto. I think we've all had quite enough now." Now was as good a time as any to just take controll of the situation. If she didn't put her foot down now, the others would fight like cats and dogs to gain the power. And somewhere in her head Alice knew she'd regret this if she did, or even didn't. On one hand, she could be starting a war between herself and a fierce and slightly intimidating Slytherin. Which she'd deffinatly regret later. On the other hand, it was her job to keep peace between students and make sure people stayed out of trouble. Also, it seemed like Alice was one of the eldest here. Damn. She was going to hate herself if she abandoned her intuition. Alice stepped forward and grabbed the bottle. Maybe she was acting on frustration. But maybe she was sick and tired of being little lovely Alice. She damn bloody well could take care of herself.
Alice watched Dorcas leave. Thank god! Now, she was smack in the middle of a line of people willing to point wands at throats. Possibly even on her account. And two people who would most likely want to point wands at her throat. But, she was not buying any of Alecto's crap today. And she'd been stunned already she was prepared for more. "Get out...Both of you... Before I throw you out....Like this." Stomping to the door a little Alice hucked Alecto's bottle into the street and waited for the sound of it smashing. "Now." Alice was asking once and only once. With a hand still on her wand, she was not in a forgiving mood. There would be no second chances today. word count: 68o
